Spain 2026 World Cup Champions: The Four Shirts

On the evening of 19 July 2026, at New York New Jersey Stadium, Ferran Torres came off the bench and put Spain back on top of the world. His 106th-minute goal — Nico Williams nodding down a cross at the far post, Torres burying it first time — won the World Cup 1-0 against Argentina, and won it in the same way Spain won in 2010: in extra time, refusing to blink.

It was Spain's second world title, sixteen years after the first. And it was, statistically, the most complete tournament any team has ever had: one goal conceded in eight matches, seven clean sheets, and a final in which Argentina did not manage a single shot until extra time.

1 goal conceded all tournament — a record for a champion
2 stars on the chest, 2010 and 2026

How they got there

Spain did not lose a match, and barely conceded a chance. The road to the final:

Round of 32Austria3-0
Round of 16Portugal1-0

In the final Spain finished with 20 shots to Argentina's two, 858 passes to 456, and an expected-goals count of 1.72 against 0.09. Argentina, who had scored 19 goals on the way there, lost Enzo Fernández to a second yellow card in stoppage time and defended from then on.

The shirts

Four ways to wear the second star: the final shirt, the new home and away kits with two stars on the chest, and the one the record-breaking goalkeeper wore.
