Every shirt we send out has a second life we never get to see. It ends up on a nine-year-old in a hallway, five minutes before kick-off. On someone in camouflage trousers, because the shirt was the one thing worth building the outfit around. On a phone camera held out at arm's length in a hotel mirror, at eleven at night.

One pattern comes up in almost every sizing question we answer: the size people think they need is often not the size that looks right once the shirt is actually on. Start from how you want it to sit, and work from there.
